Impressive, but who did this horrible thing to it? If I had the money...this would grace my garage (after being returned to stock).

What horrible thing?

Those wheels. They make me nervous.

Those wheels...

Those wheels were stock on the Alpina variant of the Z8. Despite being a ‘tuner’ version of the car, it was automatic and actually slower on paper. Perhaps more liveable as a daily driver though.

Wow, they really don’t compliment the Z8.

$200k and reserve not met? is that what these go for?

At least 200k. Untouched by bangle adds value.

Those are the original Alpina wheels are they not?

Those are the original Alpina wheels.

Isn’t that Alpina’s raison d’être? Slower but more liveable Bimmers?

Thanks. I was wondering how much these things go for. Just wanted to know if I steal it, that it was worth the risk.

Usually faster but often softer as well. If M tunes it for the track, Alpina tunes it for the autobahn. Let’s put it this way, if I had to run cover for a truck full of cheap German lager across the country, an Alpina would be a prime choice.

I would totally watch a German Dukes of Hazard.
